Canterbury band Shychlo are looking to break into the big time with new single Wake Up.

The six-piece, who all live together in Thanington Road, made a bold break away from their management last year to go it alone. Their brand of pop, hip hop and rock first came together in 2007 and has turned heads around the county for its unique sound.

Vocalist Chloe Morrison, 24, drummer Kevin Ridley, 23, bassist and vocalist Joe Dawson, 22 and guitarists Shane Elvy, Rick Whale and Joel Prince, all 22, hope to turn their passion into a day job.

The video for Wake Up, which is released on download from Monday , was filmed in Longmarket Square in Canterbury city centre during April.

Since being broadcast on YouTube last month, the video produced by London company We Free The Box has had more than 130 views.
