Canterbury man arrested after police find 157 cannabis plants during raid at house in Lancaster Gardens, Herne Bay

A suspected cannabis farmer has been arrested after 157 plants were discovered at a house in Herne Bay.

Police raided the home in Lancaster Gardens yesterday, seizing an estimated £132,000 worth of the Class B drug.

Officers descended after people raised concerns about suspicious activity at the property.

A 39-year-old man from Canterbury was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

He has been released on bail until November 4 while the investigation continues.
