Cannabis farm in St Martin's Hill, Canterbury, uncovered by police

More than 60 cannabis plants have been seized by police at a property in Canterbury.

Officers found plants in various stages of growth after gaining entry to the site in St Martin's Hill on Tuesday.

Bags of harvested cannabis were also found in rooms across two floors of the property.

An investigation to establish the identities of those behind the cultivation is under way.

Sgt Lee Thompson, said: “The profits made from cultivation sites of this kind invariably end up in the hands of criminal groups and I am glad we have taken these drugs out of circulation.

“I would urge anyone who believes illegal drugs may be being grown, produced or sold in their area to contact police through our website, or by calling 101.”
