Television Apprentice Raef Bjayou is in Canterbury on Wednesday to talk about life as an entrepreneur.

The snappy dresser who did battle with Sir Alan Sugar in the last series before hearing those ominous words "You’re Fired" will be sharing best practice with business owners, students and members of the public.

They will be able to meet and hear property owner Raef as part of The Flying Start Rally.

The event takes place at Canterbury College from 12.30pm and is organised by Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent University and Canterbury City Council on behalf of the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurs (NCGE).

Students from Christ Church, Kent University, the University of the Creative Arts and Canterbury College will be taking part.

Raef said: "I am delighted to take part in this very worthwhile event which I hope will give student and graduate entrepreneurs a taste of the entrepreneurial lifestyle.

"The one key quality that all successful entrepreneurs possess is sheer determination, the ability to see each business venture successfully through."

Raef will be joined by other entrepreneurs as well as legal, financial and marketing experts.

Workshop sessions will cover topics such as generating ideas, applying for funding, and giving participants tips on how to take the next step toward realising their business dreams.

They will be encouraged to become part of the Flying Start online community and support system.

This will put them in touch with the right people for start-up business information.

Anyone interested in attending should log on to www.flyingstartonline.com or text KENT followed by their name and email address to 07797801443.
