Appeal for information after bag snatched

Police are appealing for information after a student had her bag stolen.

It happened at the junction with Heaton Road and Martyrs Field Road, Canterbury.

The 20-year-old was walking along the road when she realised she was being followed. She stopped to let the person pass and, as she did, says she was pushed to the ground and her bag stolen.

The suspect, a white male, is then reported to have run away in the direction of St Mildred’s Place.

The student suffered a bang to her head in the incident which happened between 8.20pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, February 12.
