Two more charged with murder and attempted murder after shooting of Kai McGinley in Erith

Two men have been charged with murder after a 24-year-old was shot and killed.

Kai McGinley died after suffering a gunshot injury in Pembroke Road, Erith, on Thursday at around 8.50pm.

Despite the best efforts of London Ambulance Service paramedics, the 24-year-old died at the scene.

Connor Brooks, 20, of Horsa Road in Erith, and Bradlee Reeve, 33, of Chapman Road, have both today been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

They will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

A 16-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 53-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder have been released on bail.

No further action will be taken against a 17-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Two men, Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst in Belvedere, and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close in Erith, had already been charged with murder and attempted murder.

They appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and will next appear at the Old Bailey.
