KENT footballing hot-shot Sarah Snare's outstanding year continues to get better and better.

A terrific hat-trick from the 19-year-old striker helped Charlton Ladies keep their grip on the London FA Women’s Cup at the Metropolitan Police ground.

Her treble helped turn around a 2-0 deficit as Charlton looked in trouble after conceding twice to old rivals Arsenal inside the first 20 minutes.

But the England under-21 forward, from Ashford, powered onto a pass from Ashlee Hincks to cut across her marker before being cut down in the area. She stepped up to drive home the penalty to reduce the dicit.

In the second half as Charlton grew in confidence they pressed forward to open up the Arsenal defence equalising on 67 minutes through Gemma Ritchie.

Just two minutes later Snare burst through the middle to crash home the third goal.

And on 76 minutes she claimed her first hat-trick for the Charlton senior side when she again broke through the centre to tuck the ball away for a 4-3 victory as Arsenal pulled one back late int he game.

It was sweet revenge for the Charlton girls as three days earlier they had gone out of the Women’s FA cup to Arsenal in the semi-finals.

In an epic tie it took 120 minutes to seperate the sides with Arsenal going through 2-1 with a winner three minutes before the game would have gone to penalties.

The Ashford ace made her first appearance for the England Under-21 squad at the start of February in a tremendous 2-1 win over the USA. This was the first time an England ladies team had beaten the Americans.

At the start of March Sarah won a League Cup medal in the Charlton side that beat Arsenal 2-1 at Wycombe Wanderers in what has been a stunning year for the Ashford player.
