RACKETLON star Ray Jordan has been handed a tough test in his latest foray into international competition in Holland this weekend.

The 26-year-old British No.1 and world No.27, from Folkestone, has been drawn against tough wildcard Sebastien Plancon in the first round of the elite draw at the Dunlop Dutch Open in Eindhoven.

The gruelling multi-event sport pits competitors against each other at table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis with the winner the player taking the most points overall, not necessarily the one who wins the most disciplines.

Frenchman Plancon is a newcomer on the world tour but a formidable badminton and squash player while Jordan is a table tennis specialist.

Should he progress, Jordan will face a second round tie against South Korean Andrew Kim - who he has beaten before - ahead of a possible third round meeting with second seed Peter Duyck of Belgium.

Jordan’s training partner Alex Hoad is the top seed in the Class C draw in Eindhoven.

The world number 286 faces the winner of the qualifying clash between Joris Dekkers of the Netherlands and German Michael Meier in round one on Friday night.
