Schoolboy suffers broken leg after e-scooter hit and run in Torrington Road, Ashford

A young boy suffered a broken leg after an e-scooter rider crashed into him and fled the scene.

The suspected hit and run took place in Torrington Road, Ashford at around 9.28pm on Saturday, April 22.

The boy, who is of primary school age, was reportedly hit by the vehicle and now police are hunting for the rider.

The schoolboy was then taken to hospital after suffering a broken leg.

Officers are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.

The rider of the e-scooter is described as a white man in his early 20s.

He is believed to be 6ft 1ins tall, of medium build and clean shaven.

A police spokesman said: “He was believed to be wearing a black snood or mask, white jogging bottoms and a black coat.

“The e-scooter had a distinctive larger rear wheel and gold rear suspension.”
