Woman robbed in car park

A young woman was robbed as she made her way back to her car in a secluded part of a car park.

Police are now appealing for witnesses about the incident in the car park at Cressfield, South Ashford on Sunday, August 3, shortly before 9pm.

A 27-year-old local woman was walking to her car, which was parked in a secluded part of the car park.

As she was about to unlock the vehicle she was approached from behind by a person demanding money.

The male offender took a small quantity of cash and left the scene.

The woman, who was shaken by the incident, did not look at the offender.

Det Sgt Russell Thwaites, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area during the time frame of the incident, and may have seen anything unusual.”
