A woman has come forward to report that she was the victim of a serious sexual assault 16 years ago.

Police have issued an efit image of a man they want to talk to about the incident, which happened at the old Rotunda fairground in Folkestone in 1994.

The woman approached officers in December, last year, to report she had been the victim of an attack after leaving the old La Parisienne nightclub.

She was in her 30s at the time

Police spokesman Jon Green said: "This was a serious sexual assault and for whatever reason the victim has only recently come forward to report it.

"Despite the time lapse we are confident the image is a reasonably accurate one."
