Woman cut from vehicle after crash on the A28 near Bethersden

A woman had to be cut from her vehicle after a serious crash on the A28 this morning.

The emergency services were called to the road after a red car crashed at Bethersden - just before the turning to Woodchurch - at just after 7.50am.

Fire crews from Ashford and Tenterden went to the scene, where firefighters used hydraulic cutters and a spinal board to remove the woman from the vehicle.

The victim was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, in Ashford, but the extent of her injuries is not yet known.
