A vape shop has moved into a new store after a £200,000 refurbishment as it looks to expand its online services internationally.

Vapeology, which originally had its home in New Rents in Ashford, has transferred to a unit in the nearby Park Mall.

Now in Castle Street, its new shop will be showing extreme sports and provide internet-enabled touch screens for customers to research juices and equipments before purchases - a feature that owner Matthew Abercrombie says is unique.

Attempting to spread its roots further than Ashford, Mr Abercrombie now has an new website and promises that all its products cost the same in-store as they do online.

He said: "The worst thing for me is having customers come in, look around and walk out checking Amazon for a better price.

"We want to keep those people coming to us, so we're selling at a competitive price and offering a great place for shoppers to come.

"Other sites, they could be charging five or 10 times the amount in the shop.

"Because of this it's a bit of a gamble. We started in 2014 and business has been great, but we wanted to offer a better experience.

"We have air-con, heating and extraction, so that you don't have a store filled with clouds and you have a comfortable environment the whole family."

Despite opening today, Vapeology hopes to hold a full launch party at the end of January - potentially with a celebrity guest popping by.

The vape store has replaced Jane's Boutique, which has since also moved into Park Mall.

The company is one of five specialist vape shops in the Ashford area.
