Two men arrested on suspicion of assault after stabbing in Bockhanger, Ashford

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man in his 20s was stabbed.

Police taped off a block of garages and part of an alleyway in Bockhanger, Ashford, following the incident on Friday night.

Officers were called to Beecholme Drive, close to the junction with Rectory Way, at 10.10pm.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for injuries to his legs and a hand before he was taken to the William Harvey Hospital.

A police car and unmarked vehicle were still at the scene on Saturday afternoon.

A neighbour said they heard “screaming and shouting” before the emergency vehicles arrived on Friday night.

Police say two men from Ashford, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on Monday on suspicion of assault.

They were released on bail until July 14 while inquiries continue.

Last year, two people and a dog were stabbed after four men burst into a property in Beecholme Drive.

Inquiries into Friday’s incident are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/67450/23.

Residents with CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.
