Teenagers robbed in supermarket car park

Two teenager boys were punched by a pair of thugs in a robbery.

The boys were attacked and a mobile phone was stolen at the Sainsbury’s car park in Simone Weil Avenue, Ashford.

Their assailants then fled on bicycles.

Police say the victims had first been approached by the two youths who engaged them in conversation.

Both attackers punched one boy in the face and stomach and he ran off.

The second victim was punched in the head and stomach and his mobile phone was stolen.

He was treated at the scene shortly afterwards by an ambulance crew but was not taken to hospital.

The attack happened between 3.50am and 4am last Thursday and the offenders took off on black BMX bikes.

Both assailants are believed to be white and aged 16 to 17 with slim builds and they were clean shaven.

The first is described as 6ft tall with short hair. He wore a black fur-lined hooded top.

The second is believed to be 5ft 9in tall. He wore a black tracksuit top with a light blue emblem on the front and dark tracksuit trousers.
