Teenage boy assaulted in Beaver Lane, Ashford, during robbery attempt

A teenage boy was followed and assaulted during an attempted robbery of a mobile phone.

The 16-year-old boy was walking along Beaver Lane, Ashford, near St Simon Stock Catholic School, at 4.25pm yesterday when he noticed he was being followed by two youths.

He was assaulted and held in a headlock while they attempted to steal his mobile phone. However, the shocked teenager managed to push them off and keep hold of his phone.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward who might have seen the attack.

One of the youths is described as white, 16-17 years old, 5ft 6in, skinny, with short dark hair and facial stubble. His hair was spiked up in a distinctive mohican style. He was wearing a black Superdry Jacket with a blue logo on left shoulder and blue jeans.

The other youth is also described as white, aged 16-17 and fat with short dark brown hair with a round face and freckles. He was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans.
