M20 delays between Ashford and Maidstone after lorries crash

Traffic was queuing for six miles after a crash between two lorries on the M20.

One lane was blocked on the London-bound carriageway between Ashford and Maidstone.

It happened just before Junction 8 for Leeds Castle in between the Operation Brock concrete barrier.

Lane one of two was shut while recovery was arranged.

Traffic was queuing for six miles according to the Inrix traffic reporting service, and drivers were warned to expect delays of up to 40 minutes.

Nobody was injured and Highways officers were at the scene.

All lanes have now reopened and traffic is easing.
