Scott Porter is relishing the prospect of facing two top-four Ryman League, Division 1 South sides in the next week as he looks to complete a good October.

Hythe travel to leaders Crawley Down on Saturday before facing Dulwich Hamlet at Champion Hill next Tuesday and manager Porter (pictured) said: "I think the table is false at the moment for a lot of sides, with only 10 points separating top and bottom.

"These two games will show how far we have come since the beginning of the month, when we were down there.

"We play well against the top teams, will be under no pressure but up for the test and believe we can get something out of both games."

Skipper Dave Cook netted the goal in the 1-0 win against Horsham at Reachfields on Tuesday, as Hythe bounced back from the 1-0 home defeat by Chipstead at the weekend.

Porter added: "It was important to get back to winning ways and not feel sorry for ourselves. Horsham were there for the taking. Had it not been for their goalkeeper, we might have scored three of four."

Pat Kingwell faces a three-match ban, starting on Saturday week, after being sent off early on against Chipstead.

Craig Cloke, sent off at Whitstable in the Ryman League Cup last week, will miss the Dulwich game due to a one-match ban.
