Robbery victim beaten up in alley

A 22-year-old man was kicked and punched when he was set upon by three men in an alleyway.

The victim sustained swelling and bruising to his face and he was treated at Ashford's William Harvey Hospital.

Police say the man, who lives locally, left a house in Bond Road, Ashford, to walk to Simons Road. He crossed Beaver Lane and into the alleyway that runs behind the houses in Arcon Road.

Halfway down the alleyway he was pushed from behind and fell down. Two men started to kick and punch him, and a third searched his pockets. This man stole money before the three thugs ran off towards Beaver Lane.

The incident happened at around 1pm on Tuesday October 3.

One of the robbers is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall, slim build and wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, and black trousers. The hoodie had red and white writing on the back.

The second man was white, about 6ft tall, skinny build, wearing a plain blue jumper and black tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down each leg. He had short brown hair and wore gold hoop earrings.

The third man is white, about 5ft 9ins tall and a stockier build than the other two. He wore a grey hoodie with the hood up that had orange writing on the back, and blue jeans.
