Restaurant backs campaign to end world hunger

A Folkestone restaurant has signed up to a national campaign to stamp out hunger, for the third time.

The Hermitageeatery in Cheriton Place has been part of Restaurants Against Hunger since 2006 and will raise money for the scheme again.

Past years have seen The Hermitage donate hundreds of pounds through collections and fundraising activities.

Humanitarian charity, Action Against Hunger is calling on other restaurants across the county to join in and help fight hunger.

The initiative will run throughout October, to coincide with the UN World Food Day on October 16.

Collection boxes will be available in the restaurant and they will also hold fund-raising events and exhibitions.
