Red bike stolen from Ashford Designer Outlet, in Kimberley Way, in the middle of the day

Police are searching for a tracksuit wearing man in connection with a bike theft at the Ashford Designer Outlet.

A red bicycle with white handlebars and front silver and blue forks which was secured at the bike racks by the centre's food court was stolen on Saturday, February 28.

Officers say a man was seen riding away from the Kimberley Way centre on the bike just before 1pm.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, dark gloves and a light coloured white/grey rucksack, dark ADIDAS bottoms with white stripes down each leg and white trainers.

He was with another man who was also dressed in dark clothing carrying a grey rucksack on his back.

The pair approached from Newtown and left the same way.

An appeal has now been launched in a bid to trace the bike, and the two men.

A spokesman said: "Police would like to hear from anyone who may know the identity of these men or anyone with information about the whereabouts of the stolen cycle."

"Please contact PC Adam Staughton on 101 quoting crime reference ZY/6158/15."

Alternatively, if you have information but would prefer to remain anonymous please call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A picture of the bike and CCTV images are not available.
