Ashford town centre disturbance and man injured

A man has been taken to hospital following reports of an assault in Ashford town centre.

Paramedics and police were called to reports of a "disturbance" on High Street, Ashford, shortly before 2.15pm today.

A man was left with head and facial injuries.

One ambulance crew attended the scene.

The man was assessed and treated for his injuries before being taken to hospital.

Six police cars and two ambulances were seen heading down Elwick Road at the time of the incident.

A police spokesman said inquiries were ongoing.
