Kent Police appeal for information after theft of two bicycles in two separate incidents in Wye and Kimberly Way in Ashford

Police are appealing for information following two separate thefts of bikes in Ashford.

The first bicycle, a Dahon Speed D7 folding bicycle worth £400, was stolen outside a shop in Churchfield Way, in Wye.

The incident occurred between 7.15pm and 7.20pm on Thursday, February 12.

The bike had a dark blue frame, green decals, a silver seat post and stem and clip in pedals.

The second bike, a Boardman Comp mountain bike, worth around £900, was stolen from Kimberley Way.

It is reported that a person was seen using bolt croppers to remove the bike lock before riding away on it.

The incident occurred between 1.30pm and 1.35pm on Sunday, February 15.

Police have now issued a warning to cyclists to ensure they do everything to protect their bicycles.
