A missing Dungeness teenager has been found safe and well after being spotted by a member of the public.

Ashley Halls, 14, was last seen getting off bus 102 at Station Road, New Romney on Tuesday at 11.19pm.

An urgent appeal was issued when he did not return home.

Asst Ivan Pickering said: "Ashley has not been spoken to yet to find out where he was staying, but thankfully he does not appear to have suffered any ill effects.

"I am grateful to the vigilance of the public who contacted us following the sighting of him."
