A missing man has been found safe and well after 12 days.

Wain Gower, 38, was reported missing from his home in Ashford on August 19, but was traced yesterday.

Police, who had appealed for help to find him, had become increasingly concerned for his welfare during his disappearance.

A Kent Police spokesman said today: "Officers would like to thank the media and members of the public for their assistance.

"Mr Gower was found safe and well."
