Man thrown from crash car

A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after he was thrown from a car in a crash on the M20 near Ashford this morning.

It is thought the man was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford. It is not yet known if he was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle which is understood to have spun across the carriageway hitting both the central and side reservations.

The man has not been named. Two other people in the car escaped serious injury.

The motorway remained closed coastbound between junctions 10 and 11 while police, ambulance and the fire brigade attended the scene.
