Man charged after machete and more than £4,000 worth of drugs seized following suspicious activity near Regents Place, Ashford

A man has been charged after a machete and more than £4,300 worth of drugs were found.

While on patrol, officers became suspicious of a man seen near Regents Place in Ashford on the evening of December 2.

He was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.

Further inquiries into the incident resulted in police seizing a machete and a bag containing around 200 wraps of class A drugs.

Timothy Ndombele, 18 of Rodendale Road, London was charged on December 3 with possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and possessing a bladed article in a public place. The drugs had an estimated street value of £4,300.

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on the following day and was remanded in custody. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on January 2, 2024.
