Ashford held out for a share of the points at Folkestone in Kent League Division 1.

Folkestone made 160-8 with Andy Maurice and stand-in skipper James Watson, pictured right, taking three wickets apiece.

Luke Reeves scored 37 and shared a 50-run partnership with Stuart Paine (35) but there were few other contributions.

James Rand was left to defend the final four balls of the innings to stave off defeat as Ashford fell eight runs short on 152-9.

Sibton Park gained a winning draw against Downham & Bellingham in Kent League Division 2.

Opener Andy Allon provided the foundation for Park’s total of 243-5 with 103 while Steve Hickmott chipped in with a half century.

He then picked up two wickets when D&B replied, and with Steve Rowe claiming 4-34 they clung on for a draw at 138-9.

Hythe Town battled to a two-wicket success at Sandwich Town in Kent League Division 1.

The home side made 205-7, thanks mainly to 65 from opener Craig Snell.

A century-oening stand between Leon Morgan (64) and Dan Furnival (43) gave Hythe a solid start in reply but they then slipped to 177-7 before Trevor Squire (14 not out) and Ben Dwyer edged them over the finishing line.
