TRAFFIC lights will remain at the M20 junction 10 roundabout, but they will work on a phased system.

More than 1,200 of you signed our Junction 10: Keep It Moving petition, pleading for them not to be put back.

But while the agency said it acknowleged the petition, it has announced the lights would be operating again when the roadworks are completed in July. They will work on a special system aimed at easing congestion.

A new pedestrian and cycle bridge has been constructed and it is for this reason, the Highways Agency say, that traffic lights are required.

It said: "The Highways Agency regards safety as paramount in the consideration of modifying the network."
