KENT Police are still appealing for information after two people died in a horror crash involving four vehicles just before roadworks on the M20.

The tragedy happened on the coastbound carriageway near Ashford, close to junction 10, shortly after 10.45pm on Thursday.

The vehicles involved were a Dutch-registered white Mercedes lorry, a black Volkswagen Golf, a red Scania horsebox and a red Volvo FH12. The cause of the collision is so far unknown.

Kent Police say it could be some time before the identities of the two victims, who were in the same vehicle, are named. Nobody else suffered any injury.

There was no fog in the area before, during or after the collision, say police.

Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is asked to call the serious collision witness line on 01622 798538.
