Hythe Town manager Scott Porter says his side love a spot of giantkilling - and they have another chance in the next round of the FA Trophy.

Last Saturday’s 4-0 home win over Ware earned Hythe a trip in the first qualifying round to Hampton & Richmond - who are riding high in second place in the Ryman League Premier Division - on September 29.

Porter, pictured, said: "We like to have the chance to do a bit of giantkilling and Hampton & Richmond certainly come into that category because they will be a big test for us."

Two goals from Brendon Cass, plus strikes from skipper Dave Cook and Nick Reeves against Ware gave Hythe their first victory since the opening day of the season and Porter admitted: "It was as comfortable as it sounds.

"They weren’t very organised, which we knew after watching them last week, so we knew how to get about them and we could have won by more.

Hythe are without a match on Saturday, with their next fixture the Trophy tie, which means Porter’s side will only play three competitive matches this month.

"It’s a bit frustrating because at this time of year you want to play every week," Porter said.
