'High-voiced' man exposed himself to woman

A shocked young woman was confronted by a man who exposed himself to her.

The man approached the 20-year-old between 6.30am and 6.45am on Saturday and also made a lewd suggestion.

It happened when the victim was taking a short cut through a field near Herbert Road, South Willesborough, Ashford, to reach Stirling Road.

She crossed a bridge to get into the field and as she reached a second bridge she noticed a man walking towards her.

Police say he first walked past her but made a noise and she turned around to see him walking towards her.

He then exposed himself and made the remark.

The victim ran away and believes the offender ran towards Herbert Road, Hamilton Road or the Asda supermarket.

Police are appealing for witnesses and say they are now looking for a man described as white, 5ft 8in, with a round face and possibly in his late 30s.

He was wearing a puffa-style jacket, a khaki green baseball cap and dark trousers.

He is also described as speaking with a distinctive high-pitched voice for a man and with a lisp.

Anyone with information concerning this incident should contact South Kent Police on 01303 289180 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
