Parents had to collect their children from Lydd primary school after it was forced to close due to a problem with its heating system.

The school in Skinner Road was closed as a precaution on Friday morning after reports of fumes in the building.
Ian Tucker, spokesman for Kent County Council, explained: “There was a report of a diesel fume smell and the school took the decision to close on health and safety grounds.
“The children were put into a safe area in the school and someone was there all the time.
“Parents were called to collect children at their convenience.”
Teachers and support staff remained on site while the problem was fixed.
The school is expected to re-open on Monday.
