After a fire ravaged a bungalow in Kingsnorth Road the remaining structure has been demolished.
Last week we reported on the fire that gutted the empty property on the corner of Kingsnorth Road and Stanhope Road.
A neighbour and her dog had to escape through a bedroom window as the flames were whipped by strong winds towards her home on November 14.
The bungalow was due to be demolished in April 2007 to make way for two new homes.
Planning permission would have run out in April 2010 unless the bungalow was demolished and work begun on constructing the two new chalet-style homes.
At its height five fire engines battled the blaze.
Last weekend digger crews moved in to demolish the shell that remained after the blaze.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
