Firefighters descended on a house to tackle a blaze in a bedroom.
Crews were called to the home in Norwood Gardens, Ashford, shortly after 4pm today.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and no injuries were reported.
They left shortly before 5pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We were called to reports of a bedroom fire at a house in Norwood Gardens, Ashford.
"Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets, before using high pressured fans to clear the home of smoke.
"No injuries were reported."
They also confirmed the cause of the fire is not yet known.
The service's volunteer response team and The British Red Cross also attended to offer support and advice to the affected residents.
