A KENT bus driver has still not given up hope that the devil logo on his number 666 bus will be restored, despite transport chiefs insisting it is offensive.

Kent County Council (KCC) told Kingsman International Transport, which operates the service between Faversham and Ashford, to remove the small illuminated logo last month.

The decision sparked widespread public interest. Now driver Robert Nowlan has sent a petition signed by 600 passengers to KCC.

When asked if he thought the petition would make a difference, he said: "We do live in a democratic society, we should practice what we preach."
