Air ambulance, police, paramedics and fire crews attend Bridgefield Park in Herdwick Close, Ashford following medical emergency

A person involved in an incident at a children’s play park was taken to a London hospital.

Police, paramedics and a fire engine were spotted at Bridgefield Park in Herdwick Close, Ashford at around 3pm on Saturday (May 11).

Footage also shows an air ambulance flying over the Bridgefield and Finberry estates.

It is believed a child was involved.

One onlooker said: “There was a couple of ambulances, three police cars and a fire engine.

“We’ve just heard the air ambulance go over too.”

Police confirmed the incident was being dealt with by South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb).

A spokeswoman said: “I can confirm SECAmb were called on Saturday shortly after 2:30pm to reports of a person in need of medical attention in Herdwick Close.

“Crews arrived on scene and assessed and treated one person, before airlifting them to Kings College Hospital in London.”
