A POLICE car on a priority call ended up in a knee-deep hole in a Kent town early today.

The incident took place at around 5.30am at the roadworks near the BP garage in Beaver Road, Ashford.

Nobody was hurt in the accident but the police car did sustain some damage.

The vehicle was pulled out of the 18-inch deep hole by a recovery truck shortly before 7.30am.
