Driver critical after crash

A 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a car crash at the weekend.

The accident happened just after 1am on Saturday in Hythe Road Ashford, at the junction with Waterside, Willesborough.

The driver of a Fiat Uno, a 25-year-old Romney Marsh man, received serious injuries and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital and later transferred to a London Hospital were his condition is said to be critical.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the William Harvey and released later the same day.

The road was closed until 6am.
