An overturned car led to long delays on the coastbound M20 this morning.
Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene between Junction 8 (Leeds Castle) and Junction 9 (Ashford) at around 6.30am.
The motorway was closed for a period but reopened just after 7am. However, two lanes remained closed by the accident scene for another hour-and-a-half until the carriageway was fully re-opened at around 8.30am.
Police confirmed a Vauxhall Astra had overturned in lane one and that only one vehicle was involved.
The male driver (the sole occupant of the car) was taken to a local hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
