Ex-News of the World editor Andy Coulson is behind bars after being sentenced for phone hacking.

He edited the newspaper before becoming Prime Minister David Cameron’s official spokesman.

Rebekah Brooks - who also edited the paper and went on to become chief executive of News International - has been cleared of all the charges against her.

The trial was one of the longest and most expensive in British criminal history.

It heard allegations of how journalists working under Mrs Brooks and Coulson at the News of the World and The Sun, broke the law in pursuit of exclusive stories.
