The 40th anniversary of the Kent part of the North Downs being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is being marked in an appropriately modern way.

The Kent Downs AONB has identified 40 special places, each of which is being highlighted on its website.

The organisation hopes this will encourage people to visit new places and discover the beauty and spectacular landscape of the Kent Downs.

Follow the 40 Places promotion by visiting www.kentdowns.org.uk or phone 01303 815170 for a leaflet.

The Kent Downs extends from the White Cliffs at Dover to the London and Surrey borders.
