Police today continued to make inquiries to identify the body of a man found in a park.

Officers say that the elderly man was found dead off Kingsnorth Road, Ashford, at 1pm yesterday.

They attended the scene and said they were not treating the death as suspicious.

But a spokesman said: “We are continuing to make enquiries to identify him so we can inform next of kin.”

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Locals believe the scene is The Limes area of Kingnorth Road, saying they had seen police taping off the area.
