Police seize more than 190 cannabis plants in two Ashford raids

Authorities have raided two cannabis farms in a town, seizing more than 190 cannabis plants in less than a week.

Kent Police first targeted a property on Sir Henry Brackenbury Road, Ashford on Thursday, January 23 and seized around 75 cannabis plants.

Fans, lights and an irrigation system were recovered by police from the scene.

A further warrant was then carried out in Lenham Road, Headcorn on Tuesday, January 28 and a further 118 plants were seized.

A number of mobile phones and sim cards were also taken by investigating officers and the two sites are being treated as linked.

Two men have been arrested - a man in his 50s has been bailed until February 28 while another man in his 30s has been released under investigation.
